The Gift

Last week Erik decided to clean out his car. For those of you who know Erik well, you know that this is somewhat of a miracle (or perhaps just a sign that his boss was coming to town). Anyway, Isaac went out to help him and while they were cleaning they came across a pink beaded necklace. Don't ask me why my husband had a pink neckace in his car, but Isaac was excited about it so he ran inside to show me. I said, "Well great, buddy--now you have some beads to play with." He looked at me shyly and said, "Actually...I wanted to give them to you." He held out his hand with a look in his eyes that told me he was hoping I would accept them. Of course I took them and lavished thanks and love on him. Then he told me he thought they would look pretty on me. The next day I wore them to church proudly. I love my boy.
