Joel is Nine Months!

Our baby boy is growing fast! He turned 9 months on April 29th and had his check up this week. He now weighs 20 lbs. 12 oz. and he is 29 1/4 inches long. He's a little lighter than Jackson was at this age and a little heavier than Isaac. Joel is in the 90th percentile for height, just like Jackson and Isaac were. Oddly enough, I know there will come a day when I will be the shortest one in the house!

Here are some other baby Joel fun facts:

-He started sleeping through the night (11 or 12 hours) two months ago! Yeah for sleep!
-He's loves to eat and will eat just about anything you offer him (and lots of things you DON'T offer).
-He is a very social little guy. He loves to laugh and play with people.
-He learned how to clap last week. Isaac taught him. So cute! Now we're starting to teach him some baby signs. We loved doing baby signs with Jackson and Isaac.
-He gives high fives and he giggles when you hit his hand.
-He's crawling everywhere quickly and pulling up on everything he can.
-He loves to be held, but he's not much of a cuddler, unlike our other two kids.
-He's grown to dislike the exersaucer because he's learned that we don't pay attention to him when he's in it. He's figured that out that it's our "put you somewhere so we can get some things done without you under foot" spot.
-He has learned how to climb the stairs. He has also, unfortunately, learned the quick way down them.
-His most often used nickname is "Smoochie."
-Erik thinks that when he grunts he sounds like a Ton-Ton from the "Empire Strikes Back."
-He's very persistent. He will plow through just about anything to get where he wants to go and is very difficult to manage on the changing table!
-He's got two cute little teeth.
-He's loved very much by everyone in our house!
